The first chapter of the Coffeehouse book is now online, at the Coffeehousebook.com site. We'll be setting up readings in the San Francisco Bay Area, the New York area, and possibly D.C., Chicago, New Orleans, and Seattle. If you book readings for a bookstore or other venue, please contact Briggs Nisbet to make arrangements.

New Zero Site and Hunter Interview

I'm indulging my new obsession with Bay Area band Zero at a nascent web site called Ground Zero (a satellite of Enterzone, kicking things off with a review of the new CD (by N.G. Meriwether), a journal of Zero Consciousness (by Griffin Nicholson), and my own interview with (Zero lyricist) Robert Hunter and (Zero drummer and co-founder) Greg Anton.

the coffee house book

I just finished throwing together a skeletal/dummy web home for the upcoming Coffeehouse book. Levi Asher, my co-anthologist on that book, and I will evolve the site to do right by the book but, more importantly, to give a better, more lasting, dynamic view of the creative web community hinted out in the Coffeehouse book.

High-School Reunion in New Jersey

[ready for the wind & rain][ready for the wind & rain][ready for the wind & rain]

Just got back from the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (well, we only went to the first weekend this time), where it rained. Here you can see Briggs and myself [ready for the wind & rain] modeling our raingear on Saturday (the worst day for the weather -- hey it kept the crowds down!). The photo is by Steve Seebol.
